CEO, Political Leader, Member of Parliament, Senegalese National Assembly
SENEGAL
Anta Babacar Ngom Diack is a Senegalese business leader, politician, and Member of Parliament who is building a new generation of public leadership rooted in dignity, work, and service. She grew up in a family of entrepreneurs and spent more than a decade modernizing and expanding Sedima, one of West Africa’s leading agro-industrial groups, before entering politics.
In 2023, she founded ARC (Alternative pour la Relève Citoyenne), a citizen movement-turned-political party that places youth and women at the center of national life. In 2024, she ran for president as the only woman candidate, using her campaign to prove that women can legitimately seek the highest office and to open the way for those who will come after her.
Anta Babacar now serves in Senegal’s National Assembly (XVᵗʰ legislature), where she sits on both the Law Committee and the Finance Committee. Her parliamentary work focuses on jobs, education, industrial policy and the everyday realities of women and youth. Across her roles in business and politics, she is committed to creating decent work, strengthening democratic institutions and mentoring young women to step into leadership with confidence and ambition.
