Abigail Basweti is the Program Officer at the Ellen Johnson Sirleaf Presidential Center for Women and Development (EJS Center). She will be supporting the Director of Programs in the execution of all Amujae Initiative and Center projects and activities.
Abigail joins the Center from Oxfam Quebec (based in Ghana) where she was the Safeguarding Advisor. She has worked in the fields of sexual and reproductive health, gender programming, community development, and human rights. Prior to joining Oxfam she worked at Kenya National Commission on Human Rights, I Choose Life – Africa and Kisii University.
She holds a Master’s degree in International Studies from the University of Nairobi and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Gender, Women, and Development Studies from Egerton University.
